1st-8th Grade Program Schedules

• 1-Day Program: Fri | 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
• 2-Day Program: Mon/Wed OR Tue/Thu | 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
• 3-Day Program: 2-day core sessions + Friday Cultural Elective | 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

How to apply

Kindergarten Mandarin Immersion

Our Kindergarteners engage in three-hour, theme-based learning sessions led by experienced ICS teachers. To build a strong foundation, we prioritize direct Chinese character recognition over Pinyin within a fully Mandarin-immersed environment.

1st-8th Grade (Mon-Thu) Language Program

Our Personalized Approach to Language Acquisition:

• Academic Excellence: We utilize the same high-standard curriculum as the Irvine Chinese School (ICS) weekend program, ensuring academic consistency.
• Expert Instruction: Classes are led by experienced educators from ICS who are dedicated to every student's success.
• Precise Placement: Students are placed in levels based on a comprehensive background survey to ensure an optimal and effective learning experience.
• Instructional Choice: Families have the flexibility to select either Traditional or Simplified Chinese materials to best suit their goals.
• Schedule Flexibility: Our weekday program offers a convenient alternative for families with busy weekend schedules, providing high-quality education without the weekend rush.

1st-8th Grade (Fri) Culture Enrichment/Language Enhancement

SCCCA offers two hours of language-enhancement and cultural-enrichment elective classes every Friday, specifically for students enrolled in our 2-day language program. Students can immerse themselves in Chinese culture by selecting two courses from the following options:

• Art & Tradition: Calligraphy, Chinese Brush Painting
• Language & Literacy: Chinese Idiom Fun Games, Chinese Story Studio
• Hands-on Experience: Culture Workshops, Chinese Yoyo

A minimum enrollment is required for each elective. If a course does not meet this requirement, students will be reassigned to their second-choice alternative.
